CHANGING OUR PERSPECTIVE

In the mural above, teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg is featured on a wall in San Francisco. Her intense gaze in the piece is enough to make anyone stop and reflect. Thunberg’s movement has caught the attention of the world and has caused many of us to pause and think. This is the power of ART.

WALLS THAT WELCOME

Tstreet’s mural project for the Vatican’s CARITAS Minor Ready Reception shelter in Rome message was to promote acceptance for the young immigrants in the shelter. The mural titled “BE LOVE” expressed a call for universal acceptance for those coming for refuge from other countries.

The shelter youth saw this as their first opportunity to contribute and be part of their new community. The unaccompanied minors (most have no parents) are from Sri Lanka, Botswana, Latvia and Italy.

The project’s message of UNIVERSAL LOVE shifted the entire community.

ART IS A POWERFUL MEDIUM THAT ENCOURAGES HUMAN CONNECTION AND POSITIVE SOCIAL CHANGE.
